About Me

Erika Purdy-Patrick is a fifth-year rabbinical student studying at Hebrew Union College - Los Angeles. Currently, she serves as the rabbinic intern for Temple Ahavat Shalom in Northridge, California. Erika has also served as the rabbinic intern for the Sandra Caplan Community Bet Din, the student rabbi for Congregation Beth Aaron in Billings, Montana, and for Congregation Havurim in Temecula, California.

Prior to rabbinical school, she previously worked with the Jewish Emergent Network, IKAR, and Temple Emanu-El in Dallas, helping young adults and congregants of all ages to engage in meaningful Jewish community building.

In her spare time, Erika enjoys reading, gardening, and watching hockey, baseball, and Formula One. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Mason and their dog, Quinn, and cat, Pendleton.
